Founded and led by our Rav, Rabbi Yehoshua Kaykov, Ish Matzliach is where our Brooklyn community davens, learns, and grows — and our weekly sweepstakes is how that mission keeps moving forward.
Ish Matzliach was started by our Rav, Rabbi Yehoshua Kaykov, who has led the shul for many years — and everything he does for it is leshem Shamayim. Nobody asks him to do it, and nobody pays him. From Shacharit every morning to shiurim throughout the week, hours of preparation go into each and every class — all out of love for Hashem, His Torah, and the members of this community.
The Rav makes himself available at all hours — it can feel as if he has more hours in the day than the rest of us — and anyone can ask halachic questions openly in the WhatsApp group he created. Chazal teach: aseh lecha rav — make for yourself a teacher. Our weekly sweepstakes exists so this house of learning can keep its doors open, without asking the same families for the same donations again and again.
“The Rabbi makes everything digestible and interesting — he helps us learn how to want to learn. It’s safe to say my life has changed for the better since becoming close to the Rav.”

Every Tuesday night without fail — a practical, eye-opening lecture from the Rav, joined regularly by special guest speakers, with upwards of 100 men and women attending each week.
A deep dive into Masechet Avoda Zara — delving into the sugya with Rashi and Tosafot, made digestible for every level of learner.
Three hour-long shiurim every Shabbat — hilchot Shabbat for the young boys, a ladies' shiur, and a men's shiur — alongside a lavish kiddush for the whole community.
Shacharit every morning, an open WhatsApp group for halachic questions, and a Rav who sets aside hours for anyone who needs him.
